College Football Week 6

October 6, 2021
By

Ladies and Gentlemen –

As much as I would like to lament dropping the ball last week on more than a “few” of the picks.

It’s no time to cry in spilled beer or be despondent over the upsets.

This week is the Red River Shootout and the Battle for the Cereal Bowl at the Goat Trophy.

So let’s get to it

Weekend Rewind..

There is no reason to dance around it.

Your Favorite College Football Prognosticator missed more upsets last week than Ole Miss missed fourth and one’s in Bryant Denny Stadium.

But somehow (somehow) still managed to finish the fifth week of the college football season at 47 and 12 or 80%. I know I am shocked too.

That leaves The CFB Wizard at 275 and 54 or 84% thus far in the season.

I feel under some obligation to point out that “Doc” The World Famous Black lab finished the week undefeated in his picks at 10 and 0.

He won’t let me forget it either.

COLLEGE FOOTBALL MEMES OF THE WEEK

THE CFB WIZARD EMAIL QUESTIONS and ANSWERS

Q: Dear Sir,

It is with deep regret that I write to inform you that the Texas Aggies 12th man has entered the transfer portal. I don’t even know where to begin.

We have just been sincerely embarrassed ever since Coach Jimbo Fisher arrived in College Station.

I mean, it was bad enough that we gave him a GUARANTEED contract for 75 million dollars and believed he was going to get us a championship. But, now, I just see a bottomless pit of doom, gloom, and 4th place finishes in the SEC West. We’re a rambunctious but energetic lot, so if you know of any other team in need of our services, please let us know.

12th Man
Texas A&M University
College Station, Tx

P.S. – We’d rather stay in the SEC, but moving to Alabama or Georgia looks more attractive every day

A: Don’t worry, It’s going to be O.K.

But it probably won’t be, sorry.

Q: Hey Mister Wizard!

What is your “perfect” college football Saturday?

Thanks!

Mindy – Pensacola, Florida

A: Thank you for the email Mindy.

My perfect college football Saturday would be an Alabama victory, with no injuries and no commercials with any of the damn Manning’s.

Q: Chba Daba Isard Nuban

Da Ga nes benna ha who bus dess thagaktsat?

Gegala da menna so hooosta!

Grough Tigas

Croch O, Baton Rouge, Louisiana

A: Well said Coach O, well said.

I can tell those diction lessons have really helped.
